Haddonfield (in Camden County) and Medford (Burlington County) were voted as two of New Jersey’s hottest markets this year (16 towns made this list) that are on the rise according to New Jersey Monthly.

Haddonfield boasts well-maintained historic homes, a great downtown area of which also includes the PATCO train station. Its proximity to Philadelphia (a 20-minute ride on the train) and its excellent school system make this town a safe bet for buyers. Here’s a fun fact: Bruce Springsteen’s two album portraits (The River and Darkness on the Edge of Town) were taken in Haddonfield.

Medford is situated between the Pine Barrens and farmland. A number of homes in Medford are built on large parcels of land or nestled on the many lakes and streams that are located within this large town. Main Street is lined with gas lanterns, antique shops, breweries and taverns. In 2015, Freedom Park (a dog park), was named one of our country’s top dog parks according to USA Today.

Towns were chosen that were less obvious, but very desirable and affordable.
